Historical Fiction:

  • A well-researched YA novel about the mother of my main character, Sarah Rapalje, who was among the very first Walloon settlers in New Netherland

  • A fun novel about a fictional female tapster in New Amsterdam. Full of characters based on real people (including cameos by Catalyna Trico and Sarah Rapalje)

  • A murder mystery set in New Amsterdam in the pivotal time of 1663-1664

  • A somewhat dark, unflinching multigenerational tale

  • Another epic family saga spanning centuries (I wish the Dutch period was longer)

  • Based an Italian immigrant, Pieter Alberti, during the Dutch period

  • Based on Walloon Marie du Trieux and Englishman John Tinker

  • Based on Griet Reyniers and Anthony "the Turk" van Salee

Narrative Non-Fiction:

  • Extremely well-researched story of the Haring family

  • Margaret Hardenbroeck Philipse, her daughters, and their ancestral legacy

New Netherland "adjacent" in time/place:

  • A mystery set in 1746 New York

  • About Elizabeth Fones, black sheep of the Winthop family of Boston (Director Kieft and New Amsterdam have a cameo moment), largely set in Connecticut English/Dutch/Native contested territory

  • Set in 1643, in a Connecticut Puritan village, the story follows a young boy and elderly Native American man on the run
